Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)
At Backyard TreeHouse Pediatric Therapy Center, P.C., the mission of the Intensive Behavioral Health Services program is to cultivate a nurturing and individualized learning environment for each family that receives our services. Our skilled staff members work to create a team model that incorporates parent and caregiver concerns and goals into a detailed treatment plan using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our approach requires parent/caregiver involvement. The most significant behavior change occurs when parents/caregivers are supported and incorporated into their childs' services. To meet these needs, our staff will provide education and training on an individual basis to ensure skill transfer to the caregivers throughout service provision in order to increase the efficacy of interventions recommended.
Our IBHS program offers different modalities of services which would meet the needs of an array of clients. We provide community-based services with our highly professional and skilled Behavior Consultants and Behavioral Health Technicians. We also offer clinic-based services for children ages 2 up to Kindergarten, who are not already enrolled in a structured school setting (i.e., daycare/preschool). Regulations require children to have a behavioral health diagnosis that may consist of but is not limited to Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Trauma Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Conduct Disorder in order to be considered for this program. It is also required that Intensive Behavioral Health Services are deemed medically necessary by a qualified healthcare professional. Our ABA team has over 20 years experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and working with the pediatric population.
